Merge fields
Merge fields are variables that can be included in text elements. By means of the use of merge fields, texts can be constructed dynamically. For example, by including the merge field [%contact.fullname%] in the signature of a message template, the template will be automatically signed with the name of the user sending the message when composing the message.
Merge fields can be included in the following text elements:
- messages (various message templates)
- invitation and instruction tabs (menu design)
- award advice (menu award)
- award announcement (menu award)
A merge field must be included in a template to be used. The moment a template is selected, the merge field (e.g. [%contact.fullname%]) is filled with the value as it is relevant at that moment (e.g. Jan Westerman).
The overview below lists the merge fields that can be used in the various templates. It depends on the type of template whether a merge field can be used.
